What are you actively pursuing in 2020? Have you thought about it? I am actively pursuing wellness…as in actively doing something every day that keeps me striving towards my goal of 365 days of wellness….hence this blog was born!

I have a passion for clean, whole foods, natural supplements, and finding holistic health hacks which allow me to minimize my exposure to Big Pharma’s never ending pipeline of drugs. I am on a mission to share what I’ve learned with others and I’d be honored to have you come along!

First Things First!

Start your day off right making sure you are getting a balance of whole foods, good fats, and proteins for sustained energy. Sound like a lot of work? It’s NOT! Smoothies are the perfect way to do this…..just blend and go! Voila! Breakfast that is healthy and portable…..it’s a win/win! Here is one of my favorites….Greens & Ginger Detox Smoothie….so many benefits.

GREENS AND GINGER DETOX SMOOTHIE

  • juice of 1 whole lemon
  • 1/2 of an English Cucumber
  • 2 ribs of celery
  • 1 tsp minced ginger (Ginger People/Jar)
  • Handful of frozen Kale
  • 1/2 Apple (peeled and cored)
  • 1/2 cup of frozen Mangos or Pineapple
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 scoops Vital Protein Collagen
  • Walnuts OR Unsweetened Coconut flakes OR Bulletproof Brain Octane Oil

Combine all ingredients in blender and process until smooth! Smoothies are a great way to ensure you are getting those fruits and veggies into your diet as well….plus, it just makes you feel good!

Play with different fruits and veggies to create your own favorite smoothie! Just remember to add a good fat and a protein source to promote balanced blood sugar and satiety,
